You may remember my post talking about Cedar and Mr. Stanley. Here's the end result. I started out with 3/4" cedar boards, gotten from a local Amish furniture maker. I rough cut them down to size, then planed the sides and edges to smoothness. I used a 4' brass piano hinge on the door, along with a nice little wooden knob for the door I found at Home Depot. The door is held shut with two latches, much like you'd use on a screen door. There's 8 brass cup hooks for hanging the rods to dry, a 1 3/8" hole on the top for the heat to escape (1 3/8" was the only Forstner bit I had larger than 1/2"....). The light fixture is just a standard porcelain ceiling light fixture, with a 200 watt bulb. The bottom inside is just aluminum foil, glued in place with 3M 77 adhesive. Sure does make the workshop smell nice!
